Wow! I did two days of callanetics in a row and boy do my muscles ache now! Hopefully my legs will have enough strength to hold me up in the shower! So in total I'm at six hours of callanetics tomorrow morning I'll take measurements to see if I've got any changes... The only real physical changes I've really noticed so far is that my arms are looking more toned and my waist is looking pulled in and the rear is looking more lifted...
I remember one time where my best friends mom made a comment after I lost a lot of weight after being in a major car accident when I was 16. She made a comment about how no matter how hard you workout... the butt will never be lifted and firm... haha wont it be a laugh when mine is a nice tight peach!
I'm really looking forward to the end of summer where I'm just going to look awesome in a bathing suit!
Tomorrow I shall update on how my body feels doing callanetics two days in a row... I hope I wont regret doing it... but we'll see how I feel. I may have to stick with the good intentions for everyday but only end up doing it every other day.

callanetics and bollingerband plays.
Neither subject has anything to do with the other but thats what I'm going to blog about today...
Well so far I haven't managed to do callanetics everyday, but I have managed to do callanetics every other day! which of course is a vast improvement over maybe twice a week. I'm feeling pulled in so much more in my stomach and my waist is down a half inch woo hoo! of course I knew this is where I'd lose inches first cause like they say last lb on is first lb off... which makes the saddlebags next? at least I hope... also I've gained a half inch in my arms which means more muscle cause I have fairly skinny arms and I know its not fat gain. I think I'm also noticing a lift in my rear. It doesn't seem to be resting on the back of my legs as much... Hopefully its not my imagination!
Today while listening to Trading with Cappy's trading room (subscription with Incometrader.com) he lectured about bollinger band plays. I thought i'd share with the general public a few of the tips he shared.

- a 10 minute chart is best for these types of plays
- on bullish days go long when the candle bounces off of the bottom bollinger band
- on bearish days go short when the candle bounced off of the top bollinger band
- watch for a direction change at the midline
- its not recommended to take the plays in both bullish and bearish directions during the day
- the trend is your friend
- this play is successful on most trading days of the years with the exception of abnormally high volatility days.

Its been a while since I posted.
So silly me didn't remember linking my blog to myspace... so I was really surprised when my wonderful boyfriend commented that he was proud of me for wanting to do better by my body. He's also proud of me for taking the initiative to return to college full time.
This last week went by quickly. Not that anything of note really happened. I did take a quick run to California for my little cousin Haley's 5th birthday party, but nothing else major really happened. I did finally break down and got my vision checked. I'm proud to say I am legally allowed to drive without glasses! But I did get a pair of glasses and a second with polarized lenses and boy does it feel like HD!! Trading last week went ok, made a stupid trade Friday though.
So moving on to today's events....
Trading did not go well at all... I find listening to the trading room and trying to trade along with its just too distracting and I trade poorly. I took a major loss today for me and I should have stopped trading sooner. I got back into the swing of things callanetics wise. I did an hour of evolution and I love the way it makes me feel. Its intense and yet I love how its low impact and makes me feel so calm and relaxed. Its kinda a blend of pilates, ballet, and yoga all rapped up in one wonderful package. I'm going to see how my body feels doing callanetics daily. I find that trying to do it every other day I tend to find excuses by the time the next scheduled day rolls around. I've read a few blogs/discussion forums on it and most people say to give your muscles a rest the day after the workout but I find myself wanting to do it again hours after I've done the workout...

Fun with Callanetics
On Thursday I stumbled across the word callanetics, it escapes me now where I heard it. Googleing the word I found out its an exercise program developed in the late 1980's. It amazes me that I had never heard of callanetics before.
After researching callanetics and finding loads of positive reviews and an awesome weight loss support thread focusing on callanetics. I decided to purchase the callanetics evolution dvd from amazon for the price of 24.99 plus shipping. It was only 25 dollars, what more I could lose for trying it out? And hey I've paid way more for other fitness products I had inadequately researched in the past.
The dvd arrived in the mail yesterday so I took my measurements to begin tracking my progress. I'm not that overweight but I do have a smaller frame so my extra 15-20lbs does not flatter my shape any. What I had liked about the reviews of the program is that I didn't actually need to lose any weight to look like I was in better shape and not to judge the scale to rate my progress but to judge it by inches lost. I cant argue with that... I dont actually own a scale and only check my weight about twice a month when I go to my mom's house and check on her scale.
My starting measurements are starting from the top,
Bust(bra on) 34 1/2"
Arm 10 1/2"
Waist 28 1/2"
Tummy 36"
Upper hip 37"
Lower hip 42 1/2"
Upper Thigh 23"
Lower thigh 17 1/2"
Calf 14 1/2"
I'm quite obviously pear shaped and I carry all of my weight in my butt and thighs... I even have saddlebags :-( Perhaps later I'll post the full body picture.
Well yesterday I went through the workout. It didn't seem too hard at first but I could feel the workout. Some moves my legs were so shaky I wasn't sure I would make it. Today I seriously feel the effects. My legs are sore and my rear aches and walking I feel every muscle ache! My abs don't ache other than my obliques. although for at least the hour after my workout my abs hurt so bad.
I plan to keep blogging my progress. And I think I'll update on this in another week and take new measurements. Also on the cardio side of fitness I plan to utilize my bicycle and go bike riding 2-7 times a weeks. or basically as often as I can get my butt out the door. Preferably by mid July I hopefully will have lost 2 dress sizes and be back in my size seven jeans! My end of year goal will to be back in a size five like I was in my senior year of high school :-D
