On Thursday I stumbled across the word callanetics, it escapes me now where I heard it. Googleing the word I found out its an exercise program developed in the late 1980's. It amazes me that I had never heard of callanetics before.
After researching callanetics and finding loads of positive reviews and an awesome weight loss support thread focusing on callanetics. I decided to purchase the callanetics evolution dvd from amazon for the price of 24.99 plus shipping. It was only 25 dollars, what more I could lose for trying it out? And hey I've paid way more for other fitness products I had inadequately researched in the past.
The dvd arrived in the mail yesterday so I took my measurements to begin tracking my progress. I'm not that overweight but I do have a smaller frame so my extra 15-20lbs does not flatter my shape any. What I had liked about the reviews of the program is that I didn't actually need to lose any weight to look like I was in better shape and not to judge the scale to rate my progress but to judge it by inches lost. I cant argue with that... I dont actually own a scale and only check my weight about twice a month when I go to my mom's house and check on her scale.
My starting measurements are starting from the top,
Bust(bra on) 34 1/2"
Arm 10 1/2"
Waist 28 1/2"
Tummy 36"
Upper hip 37"
Lower hip 42 1/2"
Upper Thigh 23"
Lower thigh 17 1/2"
Calf 14 1/2"
I'm quite obviously pear shaped and I carry all of my weight in my butt and thighs... I even have saddlebags :-( Perhaps later I'll post the full body picture.
Well yesterday I went through the workout. It didn't seem too hard at first but I could feel the workout. Some moves my legs were so shaky I wasn't sure I would make it. Today I seriously feel the effects. My legs are sore and my rear aches and walking I feel every muscle ache! My abs don't ache other than my obliques. although for at least the hour after my workout my abs hurt so bad.
I plan to keep blogging my progress. And I think I'll update on this in another week and take new measurements. Also on the cardio side of fitness I plan to utilize my bicycle and go bike riding 2-7 times a weeks. or basically as often as I can get my butt out the door. Preferably by mid July I hopefully will have lost 2 dress sizes and be back in my size seven jeans! My end of year goal will to be back in a size five like I was in my senior year of high school :-D

Feeling a bit blue
So today I'm not doing that well emotionally. Sometimes I just feel like I'm way over my head as far as finances... I really wish that the housing market wasn't dead. I'd really consider selling my house.
I feel like my debt is at an all time high... Although I do have a plan mapped out to pay it all off within two years, assuming that of course I don't acquire more.

Sometimes you need to write
I decided to start a blog separate from the disastrous world of myspace.com I've simply found that people like to suck the fun out of life and have to judge the content of my perspective. The last blog I had written on myspace linked to zug.com and it was about a prank where one of the authors of the site had requested to add an authorized user to his existing credit card. The name he requested was Michael Jackson. From there he plotted to carry out an impersonation of Michael Jackson in the Baltimore area. For the full story you can find it at zug.com titled The Michael Jackson Prank.
I found the story simply hilarious and linked in in a bullitain on myspace. Myspace had deemed it fraudulent and deactivated the link. A friend messaged me saying that I must have been hacked again. I told him that no i had linked to a very funny story and he responded that he didn't see me as the fraud encouraging type. Now from my perspective I didn't consider that yes it is technically fraud to impersonate another person. Now how many countless people have impersonated a celebrity? And don't tell all the Elvis impersonators that they're committing fraud! But the situation in the story, no one was hurt by the prank and they did give a donation to the charity that they had fooled. They didn't deliberately try to swindle monies from Michael Jackson, although they did give the tabloids fodder over the vomit incident...
But in a matter of perspective I interpreted the situation as an amusing story about a prank. The friend interpreted it as a deliberate act of fraud that should not be shared with others and implied that I should be ashamed for telling others.
So with that I will continue to write my thoughts to share with people I don't know who's opinions don't affect me. And in conclusion I have deleted all the blogs that I had written on myspace, and its likely that I wont bother to write another on that social networking site.
